6th Annual Read to Succeed Book Drive

Thu, May 7, 2020

Every spring, WACO collects and distributes new and used children's books to disadvantaged children in the northwest and western suburbs.

Multiple studies have shown that children who own their own books have a much higher chance for success and continued education. Studies have also shown that books in the home have an even greater impact for low-income children than children from more affluent families.

Our goal is to put books in in the hands and hearts of these children. But we need your help to do it.

Looking to Volunteer?

Volunteers are the lifeblood of WACO. Without your help, we simply cannot do all the things we do each year. At WACO, we are all volunteers. We do not have any paid positions. From the president on down, we all help whenever and wherever we can. Whether it be as a committee member or as a volunteer on the day of an event, we hope you will consider joining us.
